Why Is Platform Selection So Important?

Choosing the wrong chatbot platform not only leads to financial loss; it also drags you into a costly migration process where you have to move your customer data, integrations and team habits. For this reason, we recommend considering the following 8 criteria during the evaluation phase.

Criterion 1: Multi-Channel Support

Does it support all channels your business currently uses and plans to use in the future? A web widget alone is not enough; if your customers reach you via WhatsApp, Instagram or your website, the platform needs to manage all of them from a single center. Beware of platforms that charge per channel.

Criterion 2: AI Quality

Does the platform offer truly AI-powered conversation, or does it only use rule-based flows? The difference between the two approaches is significant: rule-based bots can only respond to scenarios you pre-define, while AI-powered bots understand the customer's free-text questions and generate meaningful answers from the knowledge base.

Criterion 3: Language Support
